How It All Started In May 2002, in preparation for the release of The Two Towers movie later that year, I borrowed my dear friend's copy of The Lord of the Rings. School was about to end and I was going to Italy that summer, and I intended to read the book on the trip. I told my friend this, and she said I had better not take her copy because she had not gotten to read this new copy I had borrowed. I thought this was funny, since she has read this book at least 10 times. She was jealous of my trip to Italy, so I joked that I would take her book along and take pictures of it at all the famous places I was going to visit. She thought this was funny, but still would rather have her book for the summer. Needless to say, I ended up with the book anyway. I figured I would make it up to her by doing exactly what I had joked about doing.

Italy and Beyond The trip to Italy was amazing, and I got some amazing pictures while I was there. I had film left over, so I took pictures of the book in my hometown of Lexington, KY. Later that summer I spent time in Farmington, NM and I kept taking pictures. I finally got my own copy of The Lord of the Rings and took it practically everywhere I went. |

America the Beautiful My book has been to a few places in Europe, and while I don't have enough money to go trekking across Europe I do have a habit of crisscrossing the United States of America which has made for quite a portfolio of pictures. I love to visit new places and I love to see all the places that make America great: famous landmarks, natural wonders, and hidden local treasures. I encourage everybody to go somewhere they've never been before. And take a few pictures while you're there! I personally guarantee that all of the photos on this website are real and the only modifications I have made are cropping and color/contrast adjustment. |
